I believe it’s not what happens, but what we do with what happens, our perceptions, and actions around what happens to us. It is my privilege to guide and listen to clients on their journey. I use active listening, and come from a place of “Unconditional positive regard.” I have had the privilege of working with children and their families through life’s transitions, and adjusting to a new normal. My primary work has been divorce, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, addiction, codependency, single parenting, retirement, and empty nesting.
Using a variety of modalities, CBT, DBT, ACT, Play therapy, Solution focused, Narrative therapy and Bibliotherapy, to help clients learn coping skills, distress tolerance skills, and gain new understanding of life’s challenges.
I hold a Master’s of Human Services/Counseling, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certification in Student Services (Type 73). Currently, I am studying for my LCPC, (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor). I am a lifelong learner with a passion for helping others find meaning in life’s difficult challenges.
