In my work as a therapist, I seek to create a comfortable, supportive environment in which my clients can explore their personal challenges and create positive changes. I enjoy helping clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transition challenges and adjustment issues. I offer a strength- based approach which is multi-dimensional and tailored to fit each person’s individual needs. I help my clients to build resilience and discover their own unique strengths by drawing upon several modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), ACT and mindfulness.
Above all else, I believe that the relationship between the therapist and client is the key to a successful counseling experience. I greatly value communication and diversity. I feel honored to earn my clients’ trust and have the opportunity to help them to live a fuller, more joyful life.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my husband, three adult daughters, grandchildren (ages 8,5,3 and newborn) and my Golden Retriever. Spending time with friends, travel, movies and music are integral parts of my life, as are keeping my Spanish skills sharp through Skype time with my Spanish-speaking friends across the world.
