Introvert vs Extrovert
Knowing if you are an introvert or extrovert can be important since it could impact your mood, interactions with others, your day to day, etc.
Introverts tend to:
-Get drained by prolonged social interactions and need time to recharge in solitude
-Be mindful of how they spend their time since energy is limited
-Plan ahead and prioritize their activities
-Be more quiet and reserved, often enjoying time alone or with a small group of close friends or family
-Take pleasure in activities that involve thinking
-Be independent and have a strong sense of self
-Be good listeners
-Think before speaking, being reflective and analytical
-Prefer working alone
-Be more comfortable in situations where there is less stimulation
Extroverts tend to:
-Typically draw their energy from being around and interacting with others
-Make quick decisions
-Prefer to work in teams
-Talk out loud to sort things out
-Communicate freely with anyone
-Seek stimulation
-Act first before thinking
-Feel isolated when they have too much time alone
-Look outside themselves for inspiration
-Be open to new experiences
Some consider introversion/extroversion a key factor within our personality. It plays a role in mediating how a person tends to direct their energy and helps us understand how an individual is likely to respond to and interpret external stimuli.
